⚔ cast coordination post

Because our TMNT cast includes turtles from different canons, each of whom with their own distinct personalities, memories, and degrees of paranoia, we sort of need a place to coordinate plots and miscellaneous things. This is that place! Here we can OOCly put together plans or iron out the kinks in plots en masse. Absolutely anyone, TMNT cast or not, is welcome to chime in!

This is more or less the virgin expedition for this planning post, so I don't have much of a guideline for using it yet. Mostly let's just try to keep it fairly neat - using thread headers for each plot/idea so we don't get all mixed up, and I'll either clear the post or make a new one every so often. Totally open to feedback on this.

Okay folks, we gotta make our boys play nice with each other. I think we've all got the general idea for this one - As Egg mentioned, Donnie and Leo will probably have to get in touch first, hash the basics out, and then Don can set up an encrypted post for the turtles to mingle as they wish.

Ricky, picking up where our PM left off - if Don wants to go out looking for Leo, Egg said little Raph could probably give him a general search area, since he ran into Leo at the Water Sector. We could definitely have them happen upon each other while Leo's out and about. Chances are that after Mike showed up on the network, Leo's been gearing up to reach out to the alternate versions too, so Don showing up probably wouldn't be unwelcome 8|a

That would probably work best! Otherwise Don will probably just play twenty-extremely-vague-questions with the network and that would just be embarrassing.

Also, no one would ever get anywhere.

He'll likely be making runs around the area on a regular basis for awhile (a couple weeks or so?) after Mike's arrival anyway, just because now TWO of his (sort of) brothers are over there. He could be looking for Leo during that time, but not really expecting to find anything because Leo. Which means actually encountering Leo would freak him out. (Awesomely.)

I'd vote for after the Don-Raph-Mike thread finishes up, just so I know what sort of information Don's working with, but...yeah! Excited.)

Water Sector:
The formerly clean waters of the canal will become increasingly cloudy and the mineral content lowered, impacting underwater gardens and triggering death and rot. The faint smell of fish will develop around all sources of water until the area smells like a day-abandoned seafood market. Meanwhile, marine life that enjoyed the canals and pools of the Water Sector will start to falter and die, with approximate losses of 30% of the population by March 23rd (before it roughly stabilises).

Ash and I have talked about the Network post fallout and how it would affect our boys for this event, since our Raphaels did not play nice and an emo time was had by all (but no one died, so i still put it down as a victory!)

We're pretty certain that Leo and Raph would decline to move to the Metal Sector; Raph wouldn't want to, and Leo wants to keep the two Raphs separate. The only way they'd willingly go along is if they were both too sick to take care of themselves, but I think we can all agree that things are probably not that extreme.

Leo would be willing to compromise, though! If Don and/or Mike (if he's not ill) wanted to stop in and check on them every now and then, he wouldn't have much of a problem with that other than his slightly wounded pride. He also still needs to hand over those blood slides to Donnie, so he'd welcome at least one visit.

Okay I have yet another one!

So about a month back during that whole fiasco with the sewer system in Tu Vishan's shell, Leo got to play detective with his ragtag team and found some neat stuff. All of the Bravo Team members are actually discussing the outcome of this thread right now OOCly, and it looks like the objects went home with one or two of them for safekeeping until they figured out wtf to do with them.

So Ricky, this one's for you! Chances are that after Leo and Don have gotten to know each other a bit, Leo would bring up those blood slides and ask if Don's interested in analyzing them. Idk if Don has the proper equipment to do so right now? And the slides are mentioned as being old and un-kedan-like. HAVE YOU SEEN THE LOCAL BLOOD YET.

This isn't set in stone, mind you! Bravo Team is still talking out what happens, but in case it comes to that, I figured I'd ask you first and see what you thought.

Ohhh, Don would love that! He doesn't actually have the right equipment right now, but during the decay event he might make friends - or get access to places - that do. If all else fails, he might at least be able to get hold of the right materials so he can cobble something together.

IF IT COMES TO THAT AND THESE THINGS HAPPEN then, yes, he would be all over those blood slides.

TURTLE-ONLY NETWORK POST

So, this super-awesome turtle network post of happiness and rainbows (and awkwardness and suspicion and resentment and loneliness and scowling and stiffness) is going to need to go up soon. I just want to know when would be a good time for all five of us?

Ash would prefer it later this week, about Thursday or Friday. Does that sound okay for everyone?

As for WHEN it takes place, I'm currently assuming we want it backdated to before the event starts, but if more of us don't want to be trying to estimate how it'll impact various relationships or something then we can probably set it up for after, too. Either works!

Hello cast coordination post, have an Event Cast Coordination Post! :D

HI! Okay. So...I'm having Mike de-evolved during the DePowering Plot.
Why?

Well, a) I think it's funny, b) it's supported by The River, and c) because I'm going to be gone for a good chunk of July. And while I think I'll have internet while I'm gone, it'll be easier to just have him be like...ickle and wee and best kept in an aquarium.

What I'm thinking of for a time line is this: This week he's increasingly woozy and losing muscle tone at an alarming rate. Next week he's going to be increasingly more childlike. And then the week after that...will stop talking all together and will basically be a bigger than normal turtle. And from then on will shrink down as plot allows.

Um...I might put myself on haitus for all of July so as to not have to worry about making Activity Check, but I'll still be around for small amounts of tagging where needed.

Thoughts?

I'mma check with my cast & get back to you on that (if none of them comment in the meantime)... but my thought is that de-mutation would be a GREAT way to give everyone some down-time to catch up on stuff and deal with IRL nonsense. But I can swing it either way.

POSSESSION FIGHT

Okay so given that it's this fight has been left in limbo for so long, I figured it would be a good idea to have the main action plotted out. Angel and I got together a little while ago and talked it over, and this is the basic framework we came up with:

1) anything_it_takes notices that duelkatana is fighting possession; considering they've sparred before and he knows his double excruciatingly well, anything_it_takes will direct sureisaguy and seriouslytwisted to stall meanandgreen until he can subdue duelkatana.

2) Fightspam as appropos

3) duelkatana manages to shove the specter out, which disappears into the shadows (to seek out michaeljangelo, we presume).

4) sureisaguy, seriouslytwisted and duelkatana wrangle a clear shot at meanandgreen for the taser anything_it_takes's carrying, which is running seriously low on juice now.

5) And just as everyone thinks it's over, possessed!michaeljangelo shows up to wreck everybody's shit.

6) Think goodness the charge in the spare battery pack recovered just enough to rinse and repeat.

7) Lick wounds and limp back to somebody's place (probably michaeljangelo's since everybody gets along pretty well with him) where somebody can make a call-out to Korra for healing, which'll put everyone back in the saddle. anything_it_takes will very much try to get everybody under one roof for post-fight care because if they go their separate ways after a fight like this, he feels there's not much hope for the group at large.

Discussion/objections/changes?

INJURIES: Personally, I'm gunning for lots of shallow (and a handful of not-so-shallow) slices from duelkatana (naturally), and maybe michaeljangelo could break Leo's wrist with a good 'chuck hit.

POST-DEMUTATION PIZZA PARTY

Okay so

michaeljangelo's back to normal (or mostly, and increasingly so over the upcoming week), and it's about time Leo put his bartered cheese to the use for which it was intended. Anyway, what better way than a party to mend lingering rough edges? Right?

Okay, so it's a potential powder keg. Especially since I think alphatar should ic-ly be invited; she has done a heck of a lot for everybody, and she would really like to try pizza. Leo will push for her inclusion but if anybody (lookin' at you, seriouslytwisted) objects strenuously, it can be a family-only event and Leo will bring her leftovers and/or arrange a second go-round.

I'm thinking free-for-all thread jacking and as many starters as people feel like. If anyone's too busy, their presence/interaction can be assumed in the background per their preference. Turtle business as usual!

The only issue I see is that I'm going to be slow this week, as I'm headed off for vacation to San Diego.

I'm thinking of putting a "WeeTurtle!Mike Uses Raph's network" post up tomorrow. Because...you know, a turtle just looking at you is kind of funny to me.

In a fit of "Leo must have something to contribute to this event", he will be retroactively volunteering to place Bruce Banner's devices that help restore everyone's powers early across Keeliai (a simple beacon placement run). Team participation is both logical and welcomed, but far from necessary and I like to not assume things SO:

If you DO want Leo to have gotten a hold of your turtle and wrote them into the task, let me know right heah; otherwise I will assume that he couldn't track you down in time to do the run.

Oh yes I definitely volunteer Leo Sr. for having pitched in, because I too suffer from "Leo is proactive but I had no clue wtf was going on for most of the event" and would like to remedy this.
